Plan and autopilot
Understand the next articles, set your schedule and choose how they publish.
Plan shows what outwrite.ai is working on, why those articles matter and what happens next. It is also where you control your schedule and publishing.
See what's happening
The summary connects research to your upcoming articles. Expand it when you want the supporting evidence. Open an article to see its purpose, schedule, draft and checks.
Planned means a slot exists; it may not have a draft yet. Preparing means research and writing are underway. A saved draft may still need review before it can be delivered. Follow the next action shown on the article.
How topics are chosen
outwrite.ai combines your offering and audience with available search demand, search results, AI answers, relevant competitors and existing website coverage. Connected Search Console data adds evidence from your own site.
The plan can cover practical questions, comparisons, alternatives, buying criteria and useful next steps. Each article needs a distinct purpose for your audience. The platform checks planned, drafted and published work so new titles don't simply repeat the same idea.
Search demand belongs to the measured keyword, not every variation of an article headline. A competitor citation is separate evidence from a search ranking. Open the topic's reasoning to see what supports it.
A suggestion to improve an existing page is a recommendation, not permission to edit your live site. Use your website's editor for that work.
Choose your publishing mode
Open Plan → Schedule and publishing. Choose your connected destination, article length, pace and timezone, then decide how much control you want.
| Choice | What happens |
|---|---|
| Keep drafts in outwrite.ai | Articles are prepared here without delivery to a website |
| Review first | You review and approve eligible articles before delivery |
| Autopilot | Eligible articles that pass checks can be delivered on schedule |
Your destination's Draft or Publish mode is a separate choice. Draft saves an article in the CMS; Publish makes it live. A connected website alone does not turn publishing on.
The automatic schedule supports one to three articles per week. Changes to pace, timezone or default length affect future work; they do not silently move existing dates or rewrite saved drafts. Reschedule an existing article directly when needed.
Connect your website and check the first delivery in Draft mode before relying on live autopilot.
What keeps running
Research revisits opportunities and checks for useful work as the plan runs low. Preparation writes eligible upcoming articles. Monitoring refreshes visibility and explores relevant new prompts. Publishing delivers articles under your policy.
These work controls are separate. A global pause takes precedence. Pausing publishing does not remove pages already live, and a request already sent may still finish.
Fresh search data, comparable visibility observations, article follow-ups and your feedback can inform later batches. Recently published content needs time to gather evidence. The platform doesn't silently rewrite existing drafts or delete published pages when its priorities change.
Guide the plan when you want to
You don't need to supply ideas. If a topic has the wrong audience, repeats existing coverage or isn't useful, give feedback so future planning can account for it. You can also add your own idea; it still goes through research and checks.
Archiving a Plan item preserves its saved content and does not remove an external page. If the plan is quiet, check the displayed research status and work controls. Get help if there is no clear next action.
Delivery status
Approval applies to the current article revision and publishing settings. Editing the content or cover, or changing relevant delivery settings, can require fresh approval.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Sending | A delivery request is in progress |
| Checking delivery | The outcome is uncertain; the existing request is being checked |
| Received, awaiting confirmation | A receiver accepted the request, but final publication isn't verified |
| Saved on website as draft | The CMS confirmed a draft |
| Publication verified | The destination and available content checks confirmed publication |
| Connection needs attention | Check credentials, permissions or the specific error |
| Returned to review | Open the article and resolve its review requirements |
If a delivery is uncertain, inspect the saved operation and your CMS before trying another send. The article may already exist. Custom webhook receivers must deduplicate by operation ID and confirm the final outcome.
Publication is not proof of Google indexing or an AI citation. See Results for the evidence collected afterward.
